Neptune Minerals considers good community relations as a social, environmental and corporate necessity. Our policy is to communicate proactively and regularly with relevant stakeholders including national governments and their officers, provincial governments and authorities, NGOs, the marine scientific community and local community representatives. Our objective is to build trust and transparency in all we do.

As a fundamental part of our operations, we invite local departmental officers to participate and actively contribute to our exploration campaigns at sea.  We value their local knowledge which not only helps us, but also gives the officers and their departmental colleagues unique exposure to our at sea exploration processes which include world best practice techniques and practitioners.

Neptune Minerals is also a strong supporter and regular contributor to the Secretariat of the Pacific Community Applied Science and Technology Division’s (SOPAC) Deep Sea Minerals Project.  This Project was established and funded by the European Union under the 10th European Development Fund which began operation on 1 January 2011.
